Why substrate and site conditions come first.

The same coating can face very different realities on glass, painted walls, textiles, resin, metal or porous building materials. A professional project begins by identifying those differences.

01

Identify the surface—not only the room

A request such as 'treat a hotel room' is not specific enough. Walls may be vinyl, painted board, plaster or another finish; furniture, glass and textiles behave differently. Record each target surface and its condition.

02

Understand what is already on the substrate

Oil, dust, detergent residue, protective films, old coatings and unknown treatments can change wetting or adhesion. Preparation should be selected only after the current condition is understood.

03

Record the operating environment

Light availability, temperature, humidity, ventilation, contact, cleaning frequency and shutdown time all affect how a project can be installed and evaluated. These details also determine whether a small pilot represents normal operation.

04

Create a traceable site record

Use photographs, surface descriptions, approximate area, application date, product and batch information, preparation steps and observation conditions. A simple record makes technical review more reliable and creates evidence that can later support training or scale-up.
